Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu has urged the Indian community in Malawi to share prosperity with the people of the African nation and follow the Indian philosophy of share and care. He was speaking to the Indian diaspora at a function at Lilongwe last evening. Mr Naidu appealed to the community to make the local people partners in progress. 

He also invited the Indian community to the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas and Kumbh Mela to be organised in January next year as well as to witness the Republic Day celebrations. 

During his address Shri Naidu highlighted the socio-economic transformation that is being taking place in India. He also cited before Indian community the welfare measures that are being implemented for the growth and prosperity of India. The Vice President appealed to the Indian



Community in Malawi to become part of India’s growth story and take advantage of the increasing business opportunities in India.

Today, on the concluding day of his visit, Mr Naidu will have a one-to-one meeting with Malawi President Peter Arthur Mutharika. Both leaders will review the entire gamut of bilateral relations and discuss issues of mutual interest. Several agreements are also expected to be signed.

Besides, the Vice President will attend the India-Malawi Business Meet. 

He will also inaugurate the Jaipur Foot Camp for fitment of Artificial Limbs under 'India for Humanity' to mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi.Mr Naidu is in Malawi on the final leg of his 3-nation Africa visit.
