Jakarta: Vice President Hamid Ansari who is on a four day visit to Indonesia, will today meet members of India -Indonesia Business Forum at Jakarta to boost the economic ties between the two emerging economies.

India has invested about 15 billion US dollars in the southeast country and the bilateral trade between the two reached 20 billion dollars last year. However, the trade surplus is heavily in favour of Indonesia.

In an



exclusive talk to AIR, the Ambassador of India to Indonesia Gurjit Singh said that the purpose of the business forum meet is to promote Indonesian investment in the country under Government's ambitious Make in India initiative.

Mr Singh said that later today the Vice President will go to Bali where both the countries are likely to sign an MoU on Ayurveda. Mr Ansari is also scheduled to visit Indonesian Parliament and meet speakers of both the houses.
