India has said, Nigeria and other members of the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation (OIC) need to speak up against Pakistan sponsored terrorism. Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari raised the issue during his meetings with Nigerian President Muhammudu Buhari and his counterpart Yemi Osibajo in Abuja last evening. This was stated by Secretary (Economic Relations) Amar Sinha after the talks.
Mr Ansari also stressed the need for exchange of information to tackle terrorism. The Vice President with the Nigerian leadership also discussed that what other



joint action can be taken to combat the menace. The discussions between Mr Ansari and Nigerian leaders touched various fields including space technology, information technology, agriculture, irrigation and taking defence co-operation to a higher level. 
India and Nigeria also signed an agreement on Standards between the Indian Bureau of Standards and Nigerian Standard Organisation. Mr Ansari also invited the Nigerian President to visit India. Later, Mr Ansari and his Nigerian counterpart took part in the India-Nigeria Business Forum.
