TMC storms back to power in West Bengal

In West Bengal, Trinamool Congress has crossed the two-third mark by winning 211 seats in the 294 member assembly. The Congress-Left combine has taken 76 seats while BJP has bagged three seats. Independents and others have won four seats.

West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC Supremo, Mamata Banerjee has won from Bhabanipur Assembly Constituency. She defeated her nearest Congress rival



Deepa Dasmunshi by over 25 thousand votes.

Congratulating the people of West Bengal for supporting her party, Ms Banerjee says-"I am not at all the person to take credit for this victory. It is victory of the People. Ultimately at the end of the day, the festival of democracy depends on public. So, the credit must go to the people and we want to dedicate it to the people."
