Supreme Court has asked the Centre to inform it about the status of the probe carried out by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up to investigate the 1984 anti-Sikh riot cases.
A bench headed by Chief Justice TS Thakur asked Additional Solicitor General about the

status of the SIT probe and fixed the matter for further hearing after two weeks. The apex court bench was hearing a PIL, filed by a member of the Delhi Gurudwara Management Committee, seeking various directions to the SIT for speedy justice to the victims of 1984 riots.
