Pakistan forces resorted to heavy shelling in R.S. Pura and Samba sectors of Jammu district today. According to Defence sources, Pakistani Rangers started unprovoked shelling targetting Indian posts and civilian areas in Arnia area of R.S. Pura around 9 PM. Later, they also started heavy shelling in Ramgarh area of adjoining Samba sector and other areas of R.S. Pura.
BSF retalited the shelling and gave befitting reply. Heavey exchange of gunfire between



the border forces of both the countries is still continuing in Sai,Treva, Bidipur, Joda, Arnia, SM Pur, Chanliyal etc. Border people have been shifting to safer places. No report of any human or other loss so far as the loss could be assessed only after the firing stops. 
Six civilians have been injured in R.S.Pura sector in Pakistani firing this morning. The injured have been referred to Government Medical College hospital in Jammu.
