New Delhi: The NDA will formally launch its Assembly polls campaign on Thursday with BJP chief Amit Shah flagging off 160 Parivartan Raths from Patna to end Lalu-Nitish rule.

Knowing that between Lalu and Nitish, the latter’s image still enjoys currency among vast section of people, the BJP has dug out details to target the chief minister on his performance since he parted ways with the NDA owing to differences on Narendra Modi’s projection as PM ahead of last year’s general elections.

For instance, though Kumar has been asking for more funds from the Centre, BJP sources claimed that the JD(U) government has merely utilised

60 per cent of the funds and rest lapsed. Similarly, party leaders charged that government doctors are not attending to their hospital duties and medicines have also disappeared from there.

The BJP in its graded campaign has also identified farmers’ issues. Party sources said that they are going to rake up the fact that the CM did not give minimum support price for food grains.

At the election campaign launch event in Patna, Shah will be joined by NDA allies’ leaders including LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan, RLSP president Upendra Kushwaha and Hindustan Awam Morcha founder Jitan Ram Manjhi.
