Maharashtra Government has ordered inquiry into the massive fire that broke out during a Make In India event at Girgaum Chowpatty in Mumbai last evening. Meanwhile, speaking to reporters after the fire was brought under control last night, Chief Minister Devedra Fadnavis said, said all people were safely evacuated from the spot and no casualty was reported in the incident.
Mr. Fadnavis, however, informed that the cause of the fire is not yet clear and a detailed inquiry would be made. The cultural program 'Maharashtra Nights' was organised by the state Government as a part of ongoing 'Make in India Week'. Fifteen fire engines and 10 water tankers rushed to

the spot to control the huge fire which erupted on the stage of 'Maharashtra Nights'. Fire fighters struggled for more than 30 minutes to control the fire which spread quickly due to cold breeze coming towards the stage from Arabian Sea.
Mr. Fadanvis reviewed the situation in a higher level meeting at disaster management control room last night. He informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to him on phone and extended all help from the centre. Mr Fadanvis further said, all the Programmes of Make in India will be conducted as per schedule.
Six sectoral seminars will be held today under ongoing Make in India week in Mumbai.
