External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar yesterday called on Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in Kuala Lumpur. In a social media post, Dr Jaishankar said Prime Minister Ibrahim’s vision for stronger India-Malaysia ties, both in traditional and new-age areas, will help craft a more ambitious agenda for the relationship. He said he benefitted from the Malaysian Prime Minister’s guidance and insights on regional developments.

The External Affairs Minister had a meeting with his Malaysian counterpart Mohamad Haji Hasan. They exchanged views on enhancing collaboration in political, economic, defence, digital, startup, consular and P2P linkages. Both Ministers shared perspectives on the region, Indo-Pacific, West Asia and Ukraine.
