International cooperation needed to curb terrorism: President Pranab Mukherjee

President Pranab Mukherjee has said that comprehensive strategy and greater international cooperation are needed to curb terrorism. Inaugurating a two-day Counter Terrorism Conference in Jaipur yesterday, Mr Mukherjee stressed upon capacity building and strengthening intelligence network to



counter this menace.

He said peace is foundation of civilization and necessity for economic development. In his key note address, Chief Executive Officer of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah said that South Asian countries should come together to evolve a mechanism to fight terrorism.
