India was today ranked 22nd on an inaugural list of the world's best countries, which was released here on the sidelines of WEF Annual Meeting and is topped by Germany.

China is ranked 17th on the list, which ranked 60 countries on the basis of sustainability, adventure, cultural influence, entrepreneurship and economic influence.

The survey was conducted among 16,200 business leaders and other high-fliers. Apart from Germany being in the first position, other countries in the top five are Canada (2), the UK (3), the US (4) and Sweden (5).




style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">The report has been prepared by US News and World Report and New York-based brand consultancy BAV Consulting and Wharton School of Business.

About India, the report said the country faces its fair share of international and domestic challenges.

"India has a fast-growing, diverse economy with a large, skilled workforce. But because of its population, it's also one of the poorest countries in the world based on income and gross national product per capita.
