India and Pakistan have agreed to work expeditiously on operationalizing the Kartapur corridor. 

The corridor will facilitate Indian pilgrims to visit the holy shrine of Gurdwara Darbar Sahib at Kartarpur in Pakistan.

The agreement was reached during the first meeting between the representatives of the two countries held at Attari in Punjab on



Thursday.

The External Affairs Ministry, in a release, said, the two sides agreed to hold the next meeting at Wagah on 2nd of next month. 

The Indian delegation was led by Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, S C L Das while Pakistan delegation was led by Director General for South Asia and SAARC Dr. Mohammad Faisal.
