Nation is celebrating 67th Republic Day today. In Delhi, the main function will be held at Rajpath where President Pranab Mukherjee will take salute of the parade.

Nation's military prowess and achievements in different fields, state-of- the-art defence platforms, its diverse cultural and social traditions, and the government’s emphasis on self-reliance and indigenisation will be showcased.

The highlights of this year’s Parade will be, for the first time in the history, a 76-member French Army contingent led by a French military band consisting of 48 musicians marching on Rajpath. 17 of states and 6 Union

Ministers tableaux will be the part of the parade.

This year’s Chief Guest in the parade will be President of France Francois Hollande.

The security has been tightened in the national capital, particularly around Rajpath and the parade route.

In view of recent terror attacks in Paris and at Pathankot air base, stringent measures have been taken to avoid any untoward incident. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh yesterday reviewed the security situation.
