Gudumba claims two lives of women

Hyderabad: Toddy-related deaths continued in Telangana on Monday with two more women succumbing to withdrawal symptoms associated with addiction to gudumba. One death each was reported from Adilabad and Medak districts. 50-year old Odusu Lakshmi of Nirmal town in Adilabad district died due to withdrawal symptoms. She suffered fits and was admitted in hospital three days ago, where she died



while undergoing treatment.
 
With this, the total deaths in Nirmal division has increased to 18 so far. In Medak district, 65-year old Bhaindla Narsamma of Kohir mandal died due to withdrawal symptoms.
