Governor to take Republic Day salute in both States

The Governor is likely to take the salute of Republic Day parade first in Hyderabad and then proceed to Visakhapatnam or Guntur, where Andhra Pradesh Government is planning to hold the official celebrations. However,



the AP Government is yet to take a final decision on the venue. As a practice, the President of India takes the salute in Delhi while Governors take the salute in the State capitals of their respective States. Since Narasimhan happens to be the Governor of both the States, there was confusion in this regard.
