Footwear Design & Development Institute Bill,2017 scheduled to tabled in Lok Sabha

The Footwear Design and Development Institute Bill, 2017 is scheduled to tabled the Lok Sabha today. Commerce and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will introduce the bill to establishes the Institute as an institution of national importance for the development of quality in education, research and training in footwear and leather products design.

Inter-State River Water Disputes (Amendment) Bill, 2017 is also scheduled to be moved in the Lok Sabha. Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Minister Uma Bharti will introduce the bill to amends the Act to constitute a permanent Tribunal with office space and infrastructure. The Rajya Sabha will remain closed today on account of Holi.
