Dog steals the bat and interrupts the baseball game [VIRAL VIDEO]

The internet is quite a mixed bag. It is heaven and hell in equal measure. When it comes to animal videos, it is nothing short of the best place to ever exist on earth.

Speaking of animal videos, we have come across a lot of 'pitch invaders' lately. Be it cricket, football, or baseball, our furry friends have found a way to steal the limelight but just running onto the field, making their presence felt.

Another instance of this went viral on Twitter recently. It was shared by Minor League Baseball's Twitter page where a golden retriever interrupts the match by running onto the pitch.

His name is Rookie and he is the 'bat dog' of a team called 'Trenton Thunders.' Indeed, he did steal their 'thunder' with this act!

The match was played between Buffalo Bisons and Lehigh Valley IronPigs. Rookie is no stranger to the baseball field. However, he could not resist as he ran onto the field, in a bid to catch the ball.

In another video that went viral, he is seen stealing away a baseball bat and bringing it off the field.
