Counting of votes for Bihar Assembly elections is underway

Amidst tight security arrangements counting of votes for the 5-phased Bihar Assembly election is underway.

39 counting centres have been set up throughout the state. CCTVs camera have been installed at all counting centres. E-counting software will also be used to record real time compilation of round-wise data.

Observers have been deployed for each constituency. More than 14,500 officials have also been deployed for the counting process.

The Election Commission has imposed a ban on victory processions to maintain law and order situation. Electoral fortune of 3,450 candidates will be decided today.

companies of CRPF have been deployed, with three-tier security arrangements. Forty control rooms have also been set up to monitor the counting process.
