In Jammu and Kashmir, a 30-metre-long tunnel, from Pakistan to the Indian side, has been found by the Border Security Force (BSF) in the RS Pura sector on the international border. BSF sources said, the troops were carrying out regular clearing operations when they found the well-constructed tunnel. The BSF was suspecting some activities across the border as there were late night movements.
The tunnel, approximately 10 feet below the ground,

was blocked on the Indian side. It is clear that the tunnel has been constructed to facilitate infiltration to the Indian side and BSF has lodged a strong protest with Pakistan over it.
BSF said that it is a fresh tunnel which was in the process of completion and the force has detected it timely. It is not possible to say how long the tunnel had been dug on Pakistan side however on the Indian side it has been dug around 30 metres.
