Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has accused the BJP Government at the Centre of trying to link the Muslim community with terrorism.
Addressing an international seminar against terrorism here on Sunday, Asaduddin Owaisi said that the Centre was trying to divide the Muslim community in different sects. He said although Muslims follow different schools of thought, the same should not be viewed as division within the community. However, he said that the BJP Government, with the help of some its agents, has been trying to create a divide within the community.
Asaduddin Owaisi said that the ISIS and other terror groups have been condemned by Ulemas of all schools of thought. He said Indian Muslims never supported any terror group or their



activities. Therefore, the security agencies should not view any Muslim with suspicion. He also advised Muslims to remain united and does not allow the communal forces to exploit them.
In his speech, Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali advocated the modernisation of Madarsas. He said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao wants to strengthen the system of Madarsa education and efforts were being made to introduce modern education in all Madarsas in Telangana State.
The seminar was presided over by Moulana Dr. Sayeed-ur-Rahman Azmi Nadvi, Mohtamim, Darul-uloom Nadvatul Ulema. The prominent religious personalities who addressed the seminar include Moulana Syed Mahmood Asad Madani, Moulana Khaled Saifullah Rahmani and Moulana Mohammed Rafeeq Qasmi (Jamaat-e-Islami).
