Youth Attacks RTC Bus Driver, Conductor in Krishna District

Tension prevailed in Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district after a youth attacked an RTC bus driver and conductor for not halting the vehicle. The incident occurred near Royyuru in Thotlavalluru mandal.

According to reports, the Avanigadda–Vijayawada RTC bus driver Suresh and conductor Leelaprasad were assaulted by a youth identified as Krishnaprasad. Enraged that the bus did not stop, he intercepted it on a two-wheeler and attacked the vehicle and



staff.

Passengers reportedly tried to pacify him, explaining that the bus could not be stopped due to lack of space, but he refused to listen. During the altercation, he also verbally abused passengers. 

The incident led to traffic disruption on the Karakatta road for nearly an hour. Police later took the accused into custody. Based on a complaint filed by the driver, a case has been registered against him, Thotlavalluru SI Kishore said.
