Young Dancer Found Dead In Puri Hotel Swimming Pool

The body of a young woman was recovered from the swimming pool of a hotel on Chakratirtha Road in Odisha's Puri town, prompting allegations of murder from her family even as police await post-mortem findings to determine the cause of death. 

According to police and local sources, the woman had checked into the hotel along with another



young woman after they were hired to perform as dancers at a bachelor party hosted there.

The woman's body was discovered in the hotel's swimming pool on Monday. Police recovered the body and registered an Unnatural Death (UD) case before sending it to the District Headquarters Hospital in Puri for post-mortem examination, scheduled for Tuesday.
