Prime Minister Narendra Modi has received congratulatory messages from several Heads of State and Government worldwide after becoming India’s longest continuously serving democratically elected Prime Minister.
Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay, extended his wishes, describing Modi as a “friend, brother and mentor” in a post on X.
Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake also conveyed warm congratulations, reaffirming his country’s commitment to strengthening the longstanding partnership between India and Sri Lanka.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim called the milestone a testament to Modi’s years of dedicated public service and leadership, while expressing hope for deeper bilateral cooperation.
Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu and Kenya’s President William Samoei Ruto also congratulated Modi, emphasising continued cooperation and strong bilateral ties.
South Korean President Lee Jae-myung acknowledged Modi’s role in India’s development, while Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed commitment to advancing the India–Italy strategic partnership.
