The Amaravati Development Corporation (ADC) is designing projects with a strong focus on developing eco-tourism-centric infrastructure in the capital region, its chairperson and managing director (CMD) D. Lakshmi Parthasarathy informed a visiting World Bank technical team on Tuesday.

 The delegation toured key project sites, including the Gravity Canal, Neerukonda, Penumaka and translocation facilities across the



Amaravati region. 

Officials said the 7.8-km-long Gravity Canal, designed to channel surplus floodwaters from Kondaveeti Vagu into the Krishna River, is being developed as a major eco-tourism attraction. 

Of the total length, 5.9 km has already been completed. The project also includes avenue plantations and recreational activities such as boating, guided by global experts.
