The Border Security Force (BSF) seized 15 kg 607 grams of gold worth nearly Rs 25 crore from the Barnpur area along the India-Bangladesh border in Nadia district on Sunday.

 According to reports, personnel from the 32nd Battalion of the BSF conducted an operation in the Phulbari area of Barnpur in the early hours of Sunday and seized gold biscuits worth Rs 24.95 crore from



a woman. She was detained and is being questioned by BSF officers.

The investigation is underway to determine how many people were involved in the smuggling operation and identify the source of the gold. The BSF has intensified surveillance along the India-Bangladesh border to curb gold smuggling and other activities. Krishnaganj police are investigating the case.
