A 24-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide after becoming depressed over her TET examination results in Vizianagaram district.
According to reports, Tanuja married Prasanna Kumar, a lecturer at a private college in Garividi on July 2. She went to her mother’s house on July 15 because of Ashada month and returned to her in-laws’ residence on August 19.
On Thursday, Tanuja allegedly hanged herself from the ceiling of a room on the first floor of the house when no one
was present. Her in-laws had gone to Pedamanapuram for some bank work.
When they returned home, they found her dead and alerted her father, Chandrasekhar, who works as a head constable at the Veeraghattam police station in the Ayyannapeta area of Vizianagaram district.
Family members reportedly told police that Tanuja had no health problems and had been depressed after checking her TET response sheet and learning that she had not cleared the examination.
