A pregnant woman went into labour during a train journey and safely delivered a baby at a railway station in Parvathipuram Manyam district of Andhra Pradesh. 

As per reports, the woman, identified as Priya Patra from Berhampur in Odisha, was travelling on the Amrit Bharat train headed to Surat when she suddenly experienced labour pains. 

Her family members got off at Belagam Railway Station in the district, but before any arrangements



could be made to take her to a hospital, she delivered the baby on the platform. 

With the support of railway officials and locals, the mother and newborn were quickly taken by auto rickshaw to the Government Hospital in Parvathipuram, where they were admitted for further treatment. 

Reports confirm that both mother and child are stable, bringing relief to the family, who thanked the locals and officials for the timely help.
