Winter session of Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly to begin today

Dehradun: The four-day winter session of Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly will begin in Dehradun today. Ahead of the session, Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan held an all-party meeting yesterday and urged all legislators to raise issues of public interest in a peaceful and dignified manner in the House.

The Speaker informed that on the first day of the session, the government's supplementary budget would be presented in the House.

So far, more



than 500 questions on various issues have been received from the legislators. Many bills and ordinances will also be tabled by the government during the session.

Security has been tightened in the state capital Dehradun in view of the Assembly session.

Section 144 of the CrPC has been imposed within 300 meters of the Vidhan Sabha and will remain in force till the conclusion of the session, which is likely to be on December 5.
