VP Jagdeep Dhankhar expresses concern over contemporary global scenario

Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar yesterday said that the contemporary global scenario is alarming and worrisome, particularly for peace-loving nations like India. Mr Dhankhar said this while addressing an event in New Delhi. During the event, the Vice-President said that empowered by its ancient philosophies, India has always envisioned a flat and communitarian world order that augers well for everyone. He highlighted that these philosophies have always been relevant and are the need of the hour in the



current contemporary world. Mr Dhankar said that India has always delivered this message and will never deviate from it.

The Vice-President also pointed out that India today faces existential challenges against its demographic and civilisation character which evokes concerns. He noted that India’s unique historical identity and pristine value system has to be preserved. He warned that any delay may worsen the situation beyond retrieve.
