Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan yesterday said that a nationwide campaign ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ will be launched from 29th May to 12th June, to create awareness among farmers about modern technology and new seed varieties. Mr. Chouhan announced this while addressing the National Conference on Agriculture- Kharif Campaign 2025, in New Delhi.

Highlighting the 15-day campaign, Mr. Chouhan informed that under the campaign, 700 districts across the country will be covered to reach nearly 1.5 crore farmers. He said that the centre in association



with states will form two thousand teams comprising farm scientists, officials and progressive farmers, among others. Each team will have three meetings every day at district level. The aim is to reach out to 10-12 lakh farmers every day.

Addressing the national conference, Mr. Chouhan stressed on improving agriculture extension services to boost productivity and production of all major crops. He emphasized on making available new technologies and research work done in labs to farmers’ fields within a fixed timeframe.
