Vijaya Diary is now Vijaya Telangana

The decades-old State-owned trusted milk brand – Vijaya Dairy, has been rechristened Vijaya-Telangana.

Unveiling the logo of the new name at a programme, State Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav said the milk packets with new designs available in the markets would also attract the consumers more. 

He said that the government was making efforts to increase collection to cater to the growing demand of Vijaya Dairy products from the present 5 lakh litres to 20 lakh litres a day.  The government had already pressed 100 mobile vehicles into



service for dairy development and health services to the cattle , he added. 

The Minister appealed to the farmers not to lose their hearts as Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was taking all steps for the welfare.  Plans were afoot to set up Vijaya Dairy outlets at government offices, main roads, districts, towns and villages to boost the business, he said.  

The government was also encouraging fish cultivation in the restored lakes, ponds and water bodies revived under Mission Kakatiya in the recent rains, the Minister said.
