Velankanni Basilica annual fest starts in Tamil Nadu

The world famous Velankanni our lady of health basilica annual feast started last night with the hoisting of flag in Tamil Nadu. Lakhs of devotees are expected to throng the shrine for the ten day long festival.

Devadass Ambrose hoisted the flag of Our Lady of Health Annai Velankanni. The pristine white Basilica and premises are decorated with colourful lights. Velankanni is having a festive look with pilgrims from various parts of Tamil Nadu Kerala and Goa thronging the place. Devotees are also coming by walk padayatra to fulfill their promises made for favours received.
