The Vande Bharat Mission has entered its fourth phase from Thursday onwards. 

Briefing media virtually, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said that as on 1st July, against the total number of 5 lakh 83 thousand 109 persons who registered their request with Missions abroad for repatriation to India, over 4 lakh 75 thousand have returned under this



mission.

This number includes more than 90 thousand Indians who have returned through land border immigration chrckpoints from Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh.

He also said that under phase four of this Mission, more than 500 flights will be operated. This includes both Air India and private carriers who are ramping up their operations in a big way.
