In a viral video from the ongoing CJP protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, a protester questioned whether the police are meant to serve the public. “Aren’t they supposed to listen to our problems?” she asks.

The protester, who says she was preparing for the UPSC exams, adds that she is now reconsidering her decision after seeing how the police allegedly treated those protesting against NEET

irregularities.

"I am watching the police. I was preparing for the UPSC. (After watching them) now I don't feel like it," the student was heard saying in Hindi.

"I am not even one of them right now. (But) I feel suffocated. If I, by chance, pass exams, how could I be one amongst them?," she asks, adding that "They are treating us like terrorists. If they had 20% responsibility, then we wouldn't have to protest on the streets."
