UP Teacher Booked for Using Forged Documents to Secure Job 26 Years Ago

A government primary school teacher here was booked for allegedly forging documents to secure his teaching position 26 years ago after an inquiry into a complaint registered on the CM's grievance portal.

The man who was appointed as a teacher on December 6, 1999, was terminated on March 24 this year after the allegations were substantiated, an officer said. 

A case was registered at Nagra police station on Monday night against Shivnath Yadav, a teacher posted at the government composite school in Belsari village, on a complaint lodged by Block Education Officer (Nawanagar) Pankaj Kumar

According to police, the FIR has been registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita pertaining to cheating, forgery and use of forged documents. He said the matter came to light after Ajit Kumar Yadav, a resident of Khoonta Bahorwan village under Bhimpura police station limits, lodged a complaint on the Chief Minister's grievance portal questioning the teacher's appointment. 

Following an inquiry ordered by District Basic Education Officer Manish Kumar Singh, Yadav's services were terminated on March 24 this year after the allegations were found to be substantiated, the officer said.
