Uttar Pradesh, Government has decided to send a high level team to investigate deaths of 49 children at a Farrukhabad hospital allegedly due to lack of oxygen. 

Earlier on Monday, the state Government had transferred District Magistrate, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Medical Superintendent of Farrukhabad district where death of 49 children was reported in one month. 

Between 20th July to 21st August , 49 children died in Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital of Farrukhabad. 

After the allegations of medical negligence surfaced,



Chief Minister's office sought detailed report of the incident and a magisterial enquiry was ordered into the case by District Magistrate.Probe committee confirmed the allegations and case was registered against the Chief Mediacl Officer and Chief Medical Superintendent and another doctor in Farrukhabad Kotwali last night. 

Later today in Lucknow, Principal Secretary Heath Prashant Trivedi rejected the magisterial report and said that paucity of oxygen was not the reason behind deaths and actual reason can only be established after high level investigation.
