Union Minister Piyush Goyal to interact with beneficiaries of PMGKAY in Himachal Pradesh

Shimla: Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs and Food and Public Distribution and Textiles, Piyush Goyal, who is on a three-day visit to Himachal Pradesh, will preside over the state-level function of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana to be held in Shimla today.

 

On this occasion, Union Minister will also interact with the beneficiaries of the scheme. Similar, programs will also be organized at district headquarters, sub-division, block, panchayat and fair price shop level, in which few beneficiaries would also be provided ration bags. 

Union Minister Piyush Goyal will not only interact with the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana but will also interact with the



exporters of all the districts through the virtual medium from Shimla today. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur will also be present on this occasion.

LED screens have been installed at prominent locations across the state to enable people to participate and see the live telecast of the State level function which would also be telecast at district, sub-division, block, panchayat and fair price shop level through virtual mode. MLAs have also been asked to take part in the function from any one place in their respective assembly constituencies. However, the functions would not be held in the blocks where the model code of conduct has been enforced due to by-elections to Panchyati Raj Institutions.
