In a clarion call for deepening Centre-State collaboration in Science, Technology, and Innovation, Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh, underscored the crucial role of States and Union Territories in driving India’s innovation agenda on the path to becoming a developed nation by 2047.

Addressing the valedictory session of the Annual Review Meeting of State Science and Technology Councils in New Delhi, Dr. Singh described technology as the engine of



transformation.

He emphasized that the vision of a developed India is inseparable from the development of its States and Union Territories, calling on them to evolve into strategic, inclusive, and dynamic hubs of innovation. The Minister also pointed to the network of 23 Patent Information Centres as a key resource for promoting awareness and facilitation of Intellectual Property Rights across the country, reinforcing their importance in building a robust innovation ecosystem.
