Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated two National Highway projects worth 2,456 crore rupees in Garhwa yesterday. Mr. Gadkari, who is on a visit to Jharkhand, also announced that 2 lakh crore rupees worth of highway projects will be implemented in the state, ensuring rapid development. Eleven projects worth 6,350 crore rupees, including a 560 crore rupees elevated corridor in Ranchi, were launched. Addressing the public meeting in Garhwa,

40,000 crore rupees have been completed in the state, highway projects worth 70,000 crore rupees are being implemented, while projects worth 75,000 crore rupees are in the pipeline. He highlighted major corridors like the 38,000 crore rupees Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata route and stated the NH network in Jharkhand has expanded from 2,600 kilometres in 2014 to 4,470 kilometres. He reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to enhancing regional connectivity and economic growth.
