Union Govt notifies changes in allowances of MPs

Union Government has notified changes in allowances of Members of Parliament which entail that they will get 30 per cent less allowances. The decision was taken as part of government's efforts to mobilize additional resources in fight against COVID-19



pandemic.

 

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi welcomed the notifications issued by Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Secretariats. In a tweet, Mr Joshi said, the initiative is a good beginning for augmenting resources to fight the pandemic.
