The Andhra Pradesh government is taking all the more greater precaution in view of the tragic incident that had taken place on the first day of Godavari Pushkaralu last year in which 29 people lost their lives. According to senior police officials, the government is making best use of technology to ensure that the event passes off smoothly and without any problems for the pilgrims.
AP Agriculture Minister P Pulla Rao said they have also called upon the rank and file of TDP to work at various pushkar ghats in addition to NCC cadets and volunteers of NGOs.
The AP government had made elaborate arrangements to launch pushkaralu at Ibrahimpatnam ghat on Thursday evening with Chief Minister N

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has decided to take a dip at Gondimalla ghat in Mahbubnagar district and then visit Jogulamba temple, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has so far not announced where he would take a dip.
Both the AP and TS chief ministers have extended invitation to Governor ESL Narasimhan and it now remains to be seen where Governor would take a dip. Meanwhile, the Telangana Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy on Wednesday launched an exclusive website and app to provide detailed information to the pilgrims.
This, the minister said, would help the administration in preventing any untoward incidents like stampede at important bathing ghats.  The government has provided links to the apps launched by Nalgonda district police and Mahbubnagar police.
