Kurnool police have apprehended two minors in connection with a house burglary case and recovered stolen gold and silver ornaments from them.

The accused, aged below 18 years, have been produced before the Juvenile Justice Board on Wednesday. 

According to police, the minors are involved in the theft of around 20 tolas of gold ornaments and 10 tolas of silver items from the house within the Fourth Town police station limits.

had taken place at the house of a retired paper mill employee Venkata Subbaiah in Ameen Abbas Nagar. 

Subbaiah left for Kadapa on March 27, 2026, on personal work. Taking advantage of his absence, unidentified persons broke open the locks of the house during the midnight hours of March 29 and entered the premises.

The burglars broke open the cupboard inside the house and decamped with gold and silver ornaments. Based on a complaint lodged by the victim, Fourth Town police registered a case and started investigating.
