Two local terrorists surrender before security forces in Kulgam district

In Jammu and Kashmir, two local terrorists surrendered before security forces this morning after an overnight encounter that erupted in Hadigam area of Kulgam district. A joint team of Army's 9 RR, CRPF, and Police launched Cordon-and-Search-Operation in Hadigam area after receiving specific input about the presence of terrorists in the village. As the joint team approached the suspected spot, the hiding



terrorists fired upon forces, triggering the encounter.

However, both the trapped terrorists surrendered before the security forces after being persuaded by the police and parents.

Incriminating materials including arms & ammunition were recovered from the possession of the surrendered terrorists.
