Two Killed After Bus Hits Roadside Signboard in Karnataka

Two persons were killed after a luxury private bus hit a roadside signboard on the Bengaluru-Mangaluru highway in this district on Thursday, police said. 

More than 20 others were also injured, with many of them sustaining minor injuries. According to police, the bus, belonging to a private travels, was proceeding to Bengaluru from Mangaluru, when the



accident occurred near a toll gate on the highway in Nagamangala taluk. 

The two died on the spot, while more than 20 injured passengers were admitted to the AIIMS hospital at Bellur for treatment, a police official said. The incident occurred within the limits of Bellur police station, and further investigation is underway, police said.
