Two Held for Speeding Motorcycle Towards VP Radhakrishnan Convoy in Keralam

Two persons were arrested for allegedly riding a motorcycle rashly at high speed towards the motorcade of Vice President C P Radhakrishnan at Kovalam junction here, police said on Monday. 

The incident took place at around 6.15 pm on Sep 27, when the vice president's convoy was returning to the airport after he attended an event at Balaramapuram, police said. Radhakrishnan was in Keralam to attend various events on Sunday.

The



arrested were identified as Ashkar (28) of Vallakadavu and Nadirsha (28) of Valiyathura. Police said that the accused were under the influence of alcohol and that the motorcycle was being driven rashly and negligently at excessive speed towards the vice president's motorcade, endangering human life. 

Security personnel intercepted the duo when they saw the motorcycle approaching the convoy, police said adding, the two men were later taken into custody.
