TRS wins MLC polls in Khammam

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi candidate B. Lakshminarayana won the Telangana Legislative Council election from the Local Area Constituency in Khammam District by 31 votes trouncing his rival CPI - CPI (M) joint candidate Puvvada Nageswara Rao.
The counting of the votes for



the elections was taken up on Wednesday and the TRS candidate was in the lead right from the beginning in the First Preferential Votes and the he secured 313 votes, against CPI-CPI (M) contestant 275 votes. The YSRC Party candidate Kamal Raj put up a good show, and secured 102 votes.
