TRS Government vows to fill posts soon

Finance Minister Eatala Rajender said his government was considering the employment issue as a very important and would complete the process soon as it is the responsibility of the government.

Allaying the fears of members on Friday on regularisation of contract employees’ services during the question hour, Rajender said the TRS government has decided to regularise the services of all those who fulfill the conditions prescribed in Section 10A of Telangana (Regulation of Appointments of Public Services and Rationalisation of Staff Pattern and Pay Structure) Act, 1994 (Act 2 of 1994).

He said that the district-wise



details and additional financial burden will be known on completion of the process to identify persons eligible for regularisation, which is in progress. He revealed that the government has enhanced the minimum remuneration of outsourcing/ contract personnel working in the State government to Rs.12,000 per month considering it as a first category Rs.15,000 as second category and Rs.17,500 as third category.

He said that the overall burden on the State exchequer is Rs.310 crore per annum. He said that there were 5,23,675 jobs in Telangana state by the time the State was formed and in which 1,07,744 vacant posts were there. Stating that there were some hurdles in regularising the contract employees, he said that the government will regularise the contract employees working in State government jobs by the time June 2, 2014.
