Tremors were felt in Nanded, Hingoli and Parbhani districts of Marathwada region in Maharashtra on Thursday, an official said.
The tremors were recorded between 1.37 am and 3.23 am, the official said, adding they measured between 3.6 and 4.6 on the Richter scale.
No casualties or damage reported. Residents rushed out of their homes as they experienced the back-to-back tremors within
the short span in the wee hours of Thursday.
As the epicecentre was near Hingoli city, tremors were strongly felt in Hingoli city and nearby villages and areas including Vasmat, Aundha Nagnath and Kalamnuri.
Earlier on July 2, Hingoli district region had experienced two earthquakes within a day. Now the recurrence of seismic activity has added panic and anxiety among residents.
