TMC releases list of 42 candidates for Lok Sabha polls

The Trinamool Congress has released a list of party candidates for all the 42 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal on Tuesday afternoon. 

TMC President and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that 10 sitting MPs have been dropped this time. 

They include party’s State President Subrata Bakshi, Actress Sandhya Roy and noted Educationist Prof. Sugata Basu.17 new faces have been inducted in the candidates' list.

Samajwadi Party has also



declared two more candidates in Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming general elections. 

The Party has decided to field veteran Samajwadi leader and former Union Minister Ramji Lal Suman from Hathras reserve seat. 

Another candidate is Rajendra S bind who will contest from Mirzapur seat. 

The party has announced nine candidates for Lok Sabha elections in the state so far.
