Tirumala Tirupati cancels VIP Break Darshan on Oct 1 and 5

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has decided to cancel VIP Break Darshan (except for protocol VIPs) on Thursday, October 1, and Monday, October 5 in view of the expected increase in the pilgrim rush during the Peratasi month and the ensuing holidays.

At present, around 80,000 devotees are having darshan of Lord Venkateswara every day. In addition, nearly 30,000 devotees arriving on the same day are being accommodated for darshan on the following day.

This has



resulted in longer waiting times for common devotees. To facilitate quicker darshan for a larger number of common devotees, TTD has taken the decision to cancel VIP Break Darshan on the above dates, a press release from TTD said.

Consequently, recommendation letters for Break Darshan will not be accepted on the preceding days, that is, on Wednesday, September 30, and on Sunday, October 4. Devotees are requested to take note of the decision taken in view of the heavy pilgrim rush and extend their cooperation.
